About GlassBids

GlassBids is a free, no-login site that aggregates open bid opportunities for auto glass and bus / heavy-truck glass from federal, state, city, transit-authority, and purchasing-cooperative sources nationwide.

How sourcing works

There is no single national feed of all government bids. We pull from three tiers:

Tier 1 — APIs & RSS feeds
Structured, reliable sources like SAM.gov, NYC procurement RSS, and several state eProcurement RSS feeds. Refreshed every 6 hours.
Tier 2 — Best-effort scrapers
Transit-authority and cooperative portals (NYC MTA, WMATA, Sourcewell, OMNIA, etc.). Each runs independently — if one breaks, the rest continue.
Tier 3 — Manual backstop
Notable RFPs added by hand so the site is never blocked by a broken scraper.

Important: Always verify all details — closing time, addenda, submission requirements — on the issuing agency's official portal before responding.
